Between 2011 and 2014, the Consortium was known as Skills Academy Wales (South West). However, as more and more members joined the Consortium the name no longer reflected our geographical spread across the local authorities that we have a footprint in. It was, therefore, agreed to set up a competition to rebrand the Consortium.
The competition was open to all learners across all providers, the winner receiving a £500 cash prize. We are pleased to announce the winner was Rhys Neville, who is studying Diploma in Interactive Media at Pembrokeshire College. Rhys was delighted that his entry was shortlisted and subsequently chosen as the Consortium’s new brand name. Rhys is hoping to go on to study Graphics Communication in the University of Wales, Cardiff.
